Meet the Maker

My name is Viv. I studied fashion at Hollins College (now part of Manchester Metropolitan University), where my love of craft and creativity first took root.

My career took an unexpected — and remarkable — turn. After a period of unemployment, I began work as a Fingerprint Assistant for Greater Manchester Police. From there, I went on to become one of the first female Head of Bureau and, later, Head of Forensics in the country. A career defined by precision, determination, and breaking through barriers.

Now retired, I've returned to what I've always loved: crafting. Each doll I make is one of a kind — handmade with care, character, and a story of its own.

I've always admired women who achieved great things despite the obstacles placed in their way. That spirit is at the heart of everything I create. It's why my shop is called Women with Attitude.
